The modular MUTARS® System offers the opportunity of a functional replacement in cases of major osseous defects, independent of the reason for the defect, as for example a tumor excision, fractures or an infection-related explantation of a prosthesis.

Joint replacements may be carried out using our constrained rotational knee arthroplasty and our constrained  hinge arthroplasty for the humeroulnar articulation. Depending on the type of prosthesis, fixation is achieved with or without cement. There are two types of intramedullary stems available: one designed for a cementless fixation (TiAl₆V₄) and one designed for cementation (CoCrMo). The cementless stem has a microporous surface and is also available with a hydroxyapatite coating.
